Bert Beattie is training to participate in the Pacific Grove Triathlon in September as a member of The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's (LLS) Team In Training to raise funds to help stop leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin lymphoma, and myeloma from taking more lives.
For Bert, participating in the Pacific Grove Triathelon is not enough, and he is now organizing a silent auction to raise additional funds for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.
It is his hope that the silent auction will not only help raise awareness of those battling blood cancer, but also to raise significantly more funding than his original goal.
